FAQ

Q: How can be more consistent in my training?

A: This is THE most important item when starting to train in Krav Maga. You should find 1 - 2 times per week when nothing will get in the way. We have students that drive from Oklahoma to take classes on weekends, full time mom's and dad's, multiple jobs, small kids at home, new born twins, and every kind of life situation you can imagine. If you want to learn, you will find the time!

Q: How many classes can I take?

A: When you join Crucible, all of our programs: Krav, Strike, and Flex are included in your membership, and there is no limit to the number of classes you can take.

Q: How often should I come to progress?

A: If you do not have a fighting background, you may want to start slower, perhaps 2 days per week for the first few weeks - 1 month. After that you may consider increasing. If you have an athletic or fighting background, you may be able to come more often.

Q: How long does it take to get 'good' at Krav Maga?

A: Krav Maga is a skill, like any other physical activity or sport, and it too requires time and training to get good at it. Krav has been designed to be learned as quickly as possible, but the more you train, the better you get.

Q: What should I know when I start classes?

A: Please dress in casual, comfortable clothing. Gym shoes, shorts or athletic pants, and a t-shirt are generally good equipment. Men will want groin protection. We have mouthguards and groin guards for sale in our pro-shop at very good prices.

Q: How many people are in a class typically?

A: The range varies, but usally 12 - 25 is typical.

Q: What if I do not have any prior fighting background?

A: Prior knowledge is not needed to start. We will work with everyone, especially begineers.

Q: Is Krav Maga good for men and women?

A: Yes! We have mixed classes, so you will have a variety of people to work with.

Q: What if I'm out of shape?

A: Not being in shape is NOT a reason to delay starting Krav Maga!! We have students of all backgrounds, sizes, shapes, and athletic ability. Many of our students use Krav Maga as a method to get into shape, and you will definitely learn valuable skills while doing so. It is the best of both worlds!

Q: I am already at member at Krav Maga DFW, can I take classes at Crucible?

A: Yes! Members at Krav Maga DFW are always welcome at Crucible (no extra fees) and students of Crucible may take classes at either Krav Maga DFW location.
